Kentucky Equine Research

Kentucky Equine Research is a nutrition research company first and a supplement brand second: the Australian range comes out of its own feeding trials and is manufactured locally for Australian conditions. The range splits into six broad groups — digestive health (EquiShure, Neigh-Lox), joints (Glucos-A-Flex, Synovate HA), bone and hoof (Bio-Bloom HF, Triacton, Bone Food Plus), electrolytes (Restore, Drink-Up), vitamins and antioxidants (Nano-E, EO-3, Preserve), and the pelleted feeds and balancers.

Choosing between them — start with the diet, not the symptom. If the horse is on forage plus a scoop of grain, a balancer such as All Phase Pellets or Nutrequin SE fixes more than a targeted supplement will. Only once the base ration is right does it make sense to add a single-purpose product on top. Watch for stacking: several KER products carry selenium and vitamin E, and so do most fortified hard feeds, so read what is already in the bucket before adding another source.

The buckets are sized in days of supply rather than by convenience, so the large sizes are usually the cheaper way to run a horse through a season. Bags of 15kg and over travel as bulky freight.

All horse supplies

Kelato

Health Care
