It works the same way as the clear Apex Snap collar — press studs for quick fitting — but the printed shell makes it a little less clinical to look at. The trade-off is that a printed cone blocks more of the side view than a clear one.

Two sizes for cats: 7.5cm and 10cm. For dogs see the Apex Cute Snap Dog E-Collar; for a clear cone see the Apex Snap Clear E-Collar. Measure from the base of the neck to just past the tip of the nose: the cone should reach slightly beyond the nose so the pet cannot reach the wound. The neck opening is adjusted and fastened around the pet's own collar or with the fastening provided — you should be able to slip two fingers underneath.

Most pets need a day to learn to eat, drink and move through doorways in a cone. Raise food and water bowls if needed, and do not leave the collar off unsupervised while the wound is healing.
