exo-terra-dinosaur-eggs-hide-out
Exo Terra Dinosaur Eggs Hide Out

Hides are husbandry, not decoration — a reptile that cannot break line of sight stays in a low-grade stress state, and the standard arrangement is one hide in the cool zone and one in the warm zone so it never has to choose between temperature and cover. The Dinosaur Eggs Hide Out is a cast clutch of part-hatched fossil eggs, and because the eggs sit at different heights the entrances end up at two levels: an animal can shelter in the lower opening or climb into the upper one.

Two sizes: Small 11.4 x 14.7 x 11cm (PT2840) and Large 18.5 x 21 x 18cm (PT2841). Exo Terra builds this one as a combined water dish and hide-out — an opened egg holds water — so in a compact enclosure a single piece covers both cover and hydration. That is also the honest limitation: a bowl the animal sits directly over fouls quickly, so in a larger setup a separate water dish placed away from the hide is easier to keep clean. Of the hides we stock it is the tallest relative to its footprint, which adds height to a flat layout but also makes it easier to topple than a low dome — bed the base into the substrate. If you want the lowest possible profile instead, the Reptile Cave is the flat option, and for pure vertical use the Rock Outcrops.
