That variability matters more with an ionophore in the mix, so place troughs so the whole mob has access and check intake against the label rate.

Contains an ionophore. Rumensin (monensin) and Bovatec (lasalocid) are registered for ruminants only. They are fatal to horses and dogs at levels that are safe for cattle and sheep, and there is no antidote. Keep this product away from horses, ponies, donkeys and working dogs, do not let them access the feed area or spillage, and do not exceed the label rate for the species it is registered for.

This is a solid 20kg loose lick.
