fluval-g-fine-pre-filter-cartridge
Fluval G Fine Pre-Filter Cartridge

The fine pre-filter is the tighter-mesh version of the Fluval G mechanical cartridge, trapping debris 75 microns and larger. Fluval intended it for daily use in marine aquariums where suspended debris is minimal, or as a polishing cartridge in a standard or freshwater tank. Because the mesh is finer it loads up faster, so in a heavily stocked or messy freshwater tank the standard pre-filter is the better everyday choice.

Pick the variant that matches your filter — the G3 and G6 cartridges are different sizes and are not interchangeable.
