fluval-surface-skimmer-unit
Fluval Surface Skimmer Unit

An intake-mounted skimmer that draws water from the very top of the tank, so the oily film that dulls the surface and slows gas exchange goes into the filter instead of sitting there. It contains no metal parts, which is why Fluval singles it out for marine tanks without an overflow. Fluval lists it for the 05, 06 and 07 canisters only — it is not made for the FX series, internal filters or hang-on units.

It is a straightforward add-on to any Fluval 07 Series canister filter and to the earlier 05 and 06 bodies.

Features

Clears surface film — Helps eliminate undesirable films and organic waste.

Better gas exchange — Oxygenates the water while it works.

No metal parts — Suited to saltwater, where metal corrodes.

Marine-friendly — Useful on marine tanks that have no surface overflow.

Specifications

Fits — All Fluval 05, 06 and 07 series canister filters

Part number — A240

View this product on the Fluval website
