fluval-u-internal-filter
Fluval U Internal Filter

The Fluval U Series is a family of four internal filters — U1, U2, U3 and U4 — that sit inside the aquarium instead of under it, running mechanical, chemical and biological filtration from a single in-tank unit. They suit tanks where an external canister is not practical: quarantine and hospital tanks, fry grow-outs, turtle enclosures, and any set-up with no cabinet underneath. The honest trade-off is that the filter takes up interior space and stays visible in the tank, so for a display aquascape you want kept clear a canister is the better choice.

Ratings run from 55 L and 250 L/h on the U1 up to 240 L and 1,000 L/h on the U4, and every model can be mounted vertically against the glass or laid horizontally in shallow water.
