gen-pack-refined-neatsfoot-oil
Gen Pack Refined Neatsfoot Oil

Refined neatsfoot oil is the traditional dressing for leather that has dried out - saddlery left in a hot float, bridles that have gone grey and stiff, work boots that no longer flex. It soaks in rather than sitting on the surface, so it softens the fibre instead of just glossing it.

Available in 1L and 5L.

The trade-off is that it darkens leather permanently and softens it, which is exactly what you want on a stock saddle and exactly what you do not want on a show bridle or on anything structural that needs to hold its shape. Test on a hidden section first, apply thin coats, and let each one soak in before adding another. Not for suede or nubuck.

How to use

Clean the leather first - oil applied over grime seals the grime in. Warm the leather slightly in the sun, apply a thin coat with a cloth or sponge, and leave overnight. Repeat only if the leather is still stiff. Over-oiling makes leather spongy and weakens stitching.

Equinade leather care and grooming

the rest of the Gen Pack range

See the full Gen Pack range - single-ingredient stable and paddock supplies packed in Australia by Eastern Distributors.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0563/6676/0120/files/default_c628beb0-85f0-45eb-b7c8-d50ee9e098ce.jpg?v=1788990477
