minrosa-fine-mineral-salt
Minrosa Fine Mineral Salt (PICKUP ONLY)

Fine loose salt is what you reach for when a lick is not keeping up. A horse in hard work or standing in summer heat loses sodium in sweat faster than it will replace by licking a block, and the fine grind mixes evenly through a damp feed instead of sitting at the bottom of the bin.

Introduce it gradually and let the horse tell you - most will eat a feed with salt in it readily, and a horse that suddenly leaves feed has been given too much too fast.

Loose salt is not a full electrolyte. If you are replacing losses after endurance work or repeated hot days, an electrolyte with potassium and chloride is the right product; salt alone covers the sodium.

Features

Finely milled - mixes through a feed rather than settling out

5kg pack - a working quantity for one or two horses through summer

Feed or free choice - can also be offered loose in a covered container

Sizes

5kg.

See the granules and lick blocks in Minrosa, or browse horse supplies.
