Most Australian finches prefer this over an open pan — gouldians, zebras and society finches will take to one readily, and canaries will use the large size.

Hang it high and in the quietest corner of the cage or aviary, and put up more nests than you have pairs. Birds argue over sites, and a spare nest settles most of it. You will need nesting fibre or dried grass separately; the nest is only the shell.

Features

Two sizes — small for finches, large for canaries and larger finch species

Enclosed dome — the covered shape that most finches will actually settle in

Woven cane — breathable, so the nest does not sweat the way a plastic one can

Care

Cane is hard to disinfect properly once it has been used.
