A training clicker in a puppy shape. Clicker training works because the sound is always identical and always means a reward is coming, which gives a young dog a far clearer signal than a spoken "good boy" that changes tone every time.
Worth being realistic about: the clicker is a timing tool, not a training programme. It makes a well-run session sharper and does nothing at all for a session with no plan.
Also in Brightkins: the same clicker in bone and football shapes. Pair it with small soft rewards from dog treats.
Features
- Consistent marker sound — the same click every press
- Shaped body — easy to grip for a beginner
- Suits puppies and new starters
- Pocket sized
How to use
Charge the clicker first — click, then treat, twenty or so times, until the dog looks for the reward on hearing it. From then on click the instant the behaviour happens and deliver the treat straight after. Never click without paying it, or the marker loses its meaning.
