Most car tethers loop through a seat belt. The KONG Ultimate Safety Tether uses the LATCH/ISOFIX anchor points instead — the fixings built into modern cars for child seats, two at the base of the seat and one behind it. Anchoring to those three points holds a dog towards the centre of the seat rather than free to slide sideways, and reduces the chance of being thrown into the footwell under heavy braking. The fixings are adjustable to suit the vehicle and the dog. As with any tether, it clips to a harness, never to a collar.
