Churu Cat Treats

Churu is the lickable purée treat made by Inaba in Japan. The Ciao name on some packs is the same manufacturer's other brand, which is why you will find both here. It comes in a squeeze tube, and the whole point of it is texture rather than nutrition — most cats that walk past a biscuit treat will take a Churu straight from the tube.

That makes it useful for more than a snack. It is the standard way to get a tablet or a powdered supplement into a cat, to keep one still during grooming or nail clipping, and to tempt an appetite back after illness or surgery.

Two things worth knowing before you buy. Churu is a complementary treat, not a complete food — it is largely water and protein purée, and a cat fed on it alone would be badly short of nutrients. And the functional versions, such as Hairball Control, are the same base with one ingredient added; they are still treats rather than a replacement for the diet that actually addresses the problem.
