Dog food toppers and mixers are the small additions that go over a regular meal — freeze dried raw, wet gravy, bone broth powder or a scoop of dried organ meat. Choosing a format
Freeze dried toppers crumble over kibble and keep the bowl dry. Gravies and broths do the opposite: they wet the meal down, which helps a dog that does not drink much and makes a dry dinner easier to finish. How much to add
A topper is a garnish, not a second dinner. Start with a small amount over the usual serve and count it as part of the day's food, since freeze dried meat and organ in particular are concentrated.
