Applemax Triple is an apple-flavoured liquid wormer for horses. A liquid suits a yard worming several horses at once — you draw the dose you need rather than buying a syringe per animal — and it is easier to hide in feed for a horse that fights a syringe.
Supplied as a 250ml bottle. Other Applemax sizes and the Gold formulation are in the Abbey Animal Health range.
Key points
- Apple flavoured — better accepted than plain paste by fussy horses
- Multi-dose bottle — dose by weight from the one container
- Broad spectrum — check the label for the exact parasite list before relying on it
Safety
Macrocyclic lactone actives (ivermectin, abamectin, moxidectin, eprinomectin) are toxic to dogs, and severely so in herding breeds such as Collies, Border Collies, Australian Shepherds and Kelpies. Keep dogs away from treated animals until the product has dried, store the container out of reach, and dispose of empty packs and used syringes where a dog cannot get at them. Withholding periods for meat and milk and export slaughter intervals apply — read the label before treating any animal destined for sale.
