PetFlex is a cohesive (self-adhering) bandage: it grips itself as you wrap, but does not stick to hair or skin, so it comes off without pulling the coat. It is used as the outer layer to hold a dressing, padding or splint in place on legs, paws and tails. It is not a wound contact layer on its own — put a dressing underneath anything that is broken skin.
This listing is the 10cm width in a clinic box of 18 rolls, which suits clinics, breeders, shelters and anyone who bandages often. More bandaging supplies are in Andover and our Health Care range.
Key points
- Cohesive — Sticks to itself, not to fur, so no tape or clips are needed.
- 10cm width — Suits legs and bodies of medium to large dogs; tear it lengthwise for smaller patients.
- Box of 18 rolls — Priced and sold by the box.
How to use
Wrap with firm, even tension and about half-width overlap. Do not stretch it to the limit — a bandage that is too tight can restrict circulation. Check toes for swelling or coldness and change the bandage if it gets wet or dirty.
