Sterile water for injection is used to reconstitute or dilute compatible medications. It must never be infused into a vein on its own — plain water destroys red blood cells. This product is stocked for veterinarians and trained handlers working under veterinary direction, not for general use.

Intravenous fluids must only be given by, or under the direction of, a veterinarian. The right fluid, rate and volume depend on the animal and its condition, and the wrong choice can do real harm. Check the bag is intact and the solution clear before use; single use — discard any unused portion. Store as directed on the pack.
