Instead of a hopper of dry kibble it uses a rotating tray of six sealed compartments, so you can load wet food, dry food or treats in any combination and it will serve up to six meals across the day — which suits cats on portioned wet diets, and cats that need small frequent meals rather than free feeding. Scheduling is done from the free Catit PIXI app over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or directly on the LCD touch panel, so it still works if your internet drops. Ice packs
The ice packs sit in the designated space underneath the feeding tray and help keep the food inside cool and fresh for longer. Freeze them for roughly 12 hours before use, at -4 to -24 degrees Celsius. Do not stand the feeder on heated flooring when using ice packs.
