A faux lambswool lure on a long handle, made to be dragged and swished along the ground so a dog chases the toy rather than your hands or your ankles. The crinkle inside adds a second reason to commit to it, which helps with dogs who are lukewarm about toys generally. It is particularly useful with a mouthy puppy — the length keeps teeth well away from skin. Like every toy in this range it is for interactive play only: leave it lying around and it stops being a reward and starts being something to shred.
The neoprene handle is comfortable to hold while you work the lure. Similar jobs are done by the fillable Tuggi Hide and the treat-loaded Chase & Treat. Browse the whole Coachi training range.
Features
- Soft faux lambswool — a texture most dogs will commit to grabbing
- Crinkle interior — extra sound to pull in a dog who is not toy-driven
- Long handle — keeps a mouthy puppy's teeth away from hands and clothing
- Soft neoprene grip — comfortable through an active session
- Suits all ages and breeds — recall luring, chase games and agility motivation
How to Use
- Move the lure away from the dog along the ground, not towards them — movement away triggers the chase.
- Let the dog catch it regularly. A lure that is never caught quickly becomes frustrating rather than motivating.
- Use it to reward a recall: call, then produce the toy and run backwards as the dog arrives.
- Put it away between sessions so it keeps the value of a treat.
