A roll-away nesting box in two and three bay versions. The floor of each bay slopes so a laid egg rolls straight out into a covered collection tray. That one change solves the two problems that cost backyard keepers the most eggs: hens pecking and eating their own eggs, and eggs getting dirty or cracked underfoot before you collect them.
It is a bigger investment than a plain nest box and only worth it if you are actually losing eggs. A small flock with no egg-eating habit does fine with an open box.
Size by flock: as a rule of thumb one bay serves three to four hens. See the rest of the iPetz poultry range.
