The feather tail is the part that wears out first: it sheds with hard play, and this is not a chew toy, so retire it once the feathers or ribbon start pulling loose.

Care
Spot clean only and do not soak — the bell and the feather binding are not made for washing. Check the feather tail and ribbon before each session and throw the toy out if either is pulling free. Supervise play and put it away if your cat chews it rather than bats it.
