The bird version of The Good Oil, blended with a higher omega-6 share and used mainly as a seed dressing. Seed diets are reliably short of essential fatty acids, and the effect shows up in breeding results before it shows up in feather condition — which is why breeders use this in the run-up to the season rather than in response to a problem.
Analysis per litre
- Oleic acid (omega-9) 380g
- Linoleic acid (omega-6) 350g
- Alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) 130g
- EPA 15g, DHA 6g
- Vitamin A 15mg, vitamin D3 1mg, vitamin E 2g
Directions
Mix 15ml per kg of seed and let it stand at least four hours at room temperature before feeding. For an individual bird, 0.1ml per 100g of body weight, or as your vet directs.

Worth knowing
Oiled seed does not keep as well as dry seed. Dress only what the birds will get through in a few days.
