Hoof dressings are a maintenance product and work best used consistently on clean, dry feet — applied over mud they seal in what you were trying to get rid of. They also do not substitute for the two things that actually determine hoof quality: a regular farrier cycle and a dry place for the horse to stand. Use it as part of that routine rather than instead of it.

Directions
Pick out and clean the hoof, let it dry, then apply as directed on the label. Use as part of a regular farrier cycle. If a hoof is hot, painful, discharging or the horse is lame, that is a vet or farrier call, not a dressing. Read the label in full before use.
