Maldison 50 is a concentrate that is diluted and applied for insect control on livestock and around sheds and yards. It is an organophosphate — effective and cheap, but it demands more care in handling than the newer chemistry, and it is not a product to use casually around cats.

Safety
Maldison is an organophosphate. Cats are particularly sensitive to organophosphates and this product should not be used on them. Wear gloves and eye protection when mixing and applying, keep children and pets away from treated areas until dry, and observe the withholding periods on the label.
