Loose sand for the floor of a cage or aviary tray. It absorbs droppings so the tray scrapes out cleanly instead of smearing, and caged birds will pick through it during the day, which is worth something on its own.
The 1.5kg bag will re-sand a budgie or canary cage several times over, or cover a small aviary floor once. Change it as soon as it looks damp — wet sand is where the problems start, not dirty sand.
Features
- 1.5kg bag — a practical size for cage-sized trays rather than a whole aviary
- Absorbs droppings — the tray lifts and scrapes instead of needing a soak
- Loose grain — spreads evenly and does not cake in the corners
Care
Store sealed and dry. Spread a thin, even layer — deep sand takes longer to dry out and holds moisture against the tray.
