Eureka MyoCare is an oat-free feed using steamed and flaked grains and legumes to maximise digestibility. It is aimed squarely at three horses: the performance horse that gets hot and fizzy, the fussy eater, and the horse with a history of tying up. It is a feed choice, not a treatment — a horse that ties up needs a vet workup as well.
Sold in a 20kg bag.
BioPAK
Southern Cross uses a micro-encapsulated live yeast with pre- and probiotics across this range. The claimed effect is better grain utilisation and improved gut microflora, with less lactic acid build-up.
Feeding
Introduce over one to two weeks alongside the existing ration. A horse needs a minimum of 1% of its bodyweight in roughage daily — pasture, hay or chaff — on top of any hard feed. Keep fresh water available at all times. Feeding rates on the bag are a starting point; adjust to condition and workload.
