A flat orthopaedic mat built around a 100mm convoluted Australian foam core, topped with a water-resistant, machine-washable cover. The egg-crate profile spreads weight off pressure points and supports hips and joints, which makes it a practical bed for older dogs, dogs recovering from injury, and dogs living with hip dysplasia or arthritis. The foam is Ultra-Fresh treated, and the cover unzips on two sides so it comes off easily.
It is a flat mat with no walls or bolsters — a dog that likes to rest its chin on a raised edge will be happier on the walled Ortho Dog Lounger. The faux fur top is also a warm surface, better suited to cooler rooms than hot summer sleeping.
