Wahl Pet Tear Stain Remover is a 175ml topical cleaner for the rust-coloured staining that builds up under the eyes of light-coated dogs and cats — Maltese, Shih Tzus, white poodles, Persians.
Understand what it does and does not do. It cleans the stained fur. It does not stop the tearing that causes the stain, and constant wet fur under the eye is a symptom: blocked tear ducts, ingrown lashes, shallow eye sockets, or an eye that is actually sore. If your pet's eyes water heavily, squint or look red, get them checked rather than cleaning the evidence away each week.
Existing stain also does not disappear overnight. Fur has to grow out; regular cleaning stops it getting worse and keeps the new growth clear.
How to use
- Apply to cotton wool, not directly to the eye
- Wipe the stained fur under the eye, working away from the eye itself
- Repeat daily or as needed; keep the area dry
Do not get it in the eye. Stop use if the skin becomes irritated.
