Wahl Prime Series Detachable Blade

The Prime Series is Wahl's detachable blade line for KM series clippers, stocked here across seven cutting lengths from #30F at 0.5mm through to #3F at 13mm, plus a wide-format #10 for covering more coat per pass on large dogs.

Choosing a length

• #30F – 0.5mm — very short; surgical prep and under attachment combs
• #10 – 1.5mm — the standard sanitary and under-comb blade
• #10 Wide – 1.5mm — same length, wider cut for big dogs
• #7F – 3.2mm — short body clip
• #5F – 6.3mm — the common summer body length
• #4F – 9.5mm — leaves useful coat behind
• #3F – 13mm — the longest here, for a tidied rather than shaved look

Two things to check before ordering. These are KM-fitment detachable blades — they will not go on a 5 in 1 clipper such as an Arco or Bravura, which takes the 5 in 1 Precision Diamond Blade instead. And going too short on a double-coated breed can leave the coat growing back patchy, so think before you fit a #30F on a husky.

Care

Brush hair out after every use and oil the blade before and during long sessions. Store blades dry and flat.
