A daytime heat bulb behind true blue glass — coloured through, not painted — producing a bright, cool-toned light along with the heat. It emits UVA but no UVB, so on its own it will not meet a reptile's vitamin D3 needs; Zoo Med's own guidance is to run it alongside a ReptiSun UVB lamp.
Features
- True blue glass — coloured, not coated, for better heat transfer.
- Daytime heat and UVA — UVA is associated with normal feeding and breeding behaviour.
- 100W.
Using it
Run it 10–12 hours a day to keep a clear day–night cycle, and switch to a night-safe heat source after dark if your species needs overnight warmth. It works with a thermostat or dimmer if you need to bring the basking temperature down.
Pair with a UVB source — the ReptiSun 5.0 Tropical fits the same style of fixture. More in Reptile Heating & Lighting.
