Animal Wellbeing is an Australian animal health brand, manufactured in Australia using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. The range covers four areas: aquarium care — water conditioners, cycling and nutrient-control bacteria, plant fertilisers, liquid carbon, blackwater extract and algae control — plus a matching pond range, poultry supplements, and reptile and amphibian nutrition.
Choosing within the range — the aquarium and pond formulas are not interchangeable and are dosed at different rates, so check which one the label names before you dose. Water conditioner goes in at every water change. Cycling bacteria is for a tank or pond that is first filling, or after a filter clean has knocked the colony back; nutrient-control bacteria is the ongoing twice-weekly version that also works on nitrate and phosphate. Plant fertiliser and liquid carbon are for planted set-ups — fertiliser supplies NPK and trace elements, liquid carbon supplies the carbon, and the growth accelerator is an amino acid top-up rather than a substitute for either. Blackwater extract suits soft-water, tannin-loving species and will tint the water, which is the point rather than a fault. Blackbeard Algae Remover is a spot treatment for an active outbreak, not a weekly additive.
Treatments come in 125ml, 250ml, 500ml and 1L. A 125ml bottle is enough to work through one outbreak in a single tank; the 1L is worth it for a pond, a rack of tanks, or anything you dose year-round.
The poultry side is separate: liquid vitamin and mineral concentrates that go into the drinking water for backyard chickens. They are supplements alongside a complete layer feed, not medicines.
