Millet spray
Millet on the stem is the classic cage bird treat, and it earns its place: the bird has to strip the seed head rather than scoop from a dish, which is genuine foraging enrichment for an animal that spends most of the day in one room. Take the 50g for one or two birds and the 200g if you are running an aviary.
Feeding sensibly
Millet is energy dense. It sits alongside a balanced seed or pellet base, not in place of one, and a caged budgie with nothing else to do will happily overeat it. A few centimetres at a time is plenty for a single small bird.
