Cherish is an Australian dry food range built on hormone-free chicken meal, Tasmanian salmon and sorghum, with a superfood blend of blueberries, chia seeds, cranberries, apple, tomato and turmeric. Nine products sit in the range: six dry dog foods, one dry cat food and two functional treats. Dog bags come in 3kg, 8kg and 15kg, cat food in 3kg and 8kg.
Choosing by life stage
Playful Puppy carries algal DHA and a protein level balanced against calcium for safe muscle and skeletal growth. Amazing Adult is the everyday maintenance diet. From seven years on there are two options: Super 7 Years+ in 3kg, 8kg and 15kg, which adds glucosamine to support cartilage, and Mindful Mature as an 8kg small-bite bag. Small Bites versions of Playful Puppy (3kg) and Amazing Adult (8kg) use a smaller kibble, which suits small breeds and dogs that swallow a standard kibble whole. Complete Cat is the single cat diet, with fibre and paraffin to help control furballs, and low magnesium plus blueberries and cranberries for urinary tract health.
The two treats are supplements, not meals
Both Cherish treats are fed alongside a complete diet rather than as part of one. The Hairball Control cat treats are dosed rather than free-fed: start at around four a day, adjust to how much your cat is moulting, and stay under fifteen unless your vet advises otherwise. The Odour Control dog treats are built around activated charcoal, and the claim on them is a careful one — fed regularly they may assist with body odour and bad breath, so treat them as a help rather than a fix, and see a vet if the smell is sudden or strong.
