Crooked Lane Harvest supplies single-ingredient, human food grade feed materials in bulk sizes — herbs and botanicals such as chamomile flowers, chaste tree berry, garlic granules, rosehip granules, slippery elm bark and turmeric; vitamin and mineral sources including beetroot powder, brewer's yeast, seaweed meal and vitamin C; and fibre and omega supplements such as chia seeds and psyllium husk. The one finished product in the range is Ultramega N3 Oil, an EPA and DHA supplement for dogs and cats.
Two things shape how you should buy from this range. First, these are raw materials rather than dosed formulas: the packs carry no per-animal feeding rate, so ask your veterinarian or animal health specialist what suits your animal before you start. Second, read the species line on each product, because it is not the same across the range — rosehip granules are labelled for horses and cats, chamomile flowers for horses and dogs, and several are for all three. A few carry cautions worth knowing up front: garlic and turmeric are not advised for pregnant mares, seaweed meal is the highest plant source of iodine and should not be fed in excess or to an animal with hyperthyroid disease, and slippery elm can interfere with medication that needs to be absorbed through the gut wall.
