DoggyLicious is an Australian-made range of dog treats built on human grade ingredients. It splits into three groups: doggy butter spreads in 250g jars, baked 180g cookies, and training drops in 250g and 1kg bags. Every recipe in the range is grain and gluten free, and the spreads contain no palm oil, no xylitol, and no added sugar, sweeteners or salt — xylitol being the sweetener that is genuinely dangerous to dogs, and one that turns up in ordinary supermarket peanut butter.
The useful thing to know is that two of the functional recipes come in both a spread and a cookie, so you can pick whichever format your dog takes more readily. The calming spread carries 20mg of L-theanine per 15g serve and the calming cookie 10mg per cookie; the hip, joint and coat spread adds collagen and turmeric, while the matching cookie adds collagen and eggshell powder for calcium. The carob products use carob rather than chocolate because carob contains no theobromine. If you are buying a spread for enrichment, note that the Doggy Butter Lick Pad is sold separately — it is a plain non-toxic rubber mat you smear the butter onto, and it rinses clean in hot water.
