Elite makes compressed pine pellets in 15kg bags — the same pellet sold for two jobs, as a cat litter and as stable bedding for horses.
How pine pellets work — the pellet is compressed sawdust. When it takes up moisture it swells and breaks down into sawdust, so a used tray or stable shows obvious wet patches that can be lifted out while the dry pellets around them stay intact. That is the whole appeal: cheap, absorbent, and easy to sort clean from dirty.
Choosing between the two — the cat litter and the equine bedding are the same idea at different volumes. A 15kg bag is a lot of litter for one cat and about right for a stable that gets topped up weekly. For a single indoor cat, a paper or tofu litter in a smaller bag is easier to carry and to store.
These are 15kg bags and ship as heavy freight; combine them with the rest of your order where you can.
