Equilibrium is an Australian maker of vitamin and mineral balancers for horses. There are two products and they are alternatives, not a set: Equilibrium Mineral Mix is the standard balancer for most horses, and Equilibrium B1 Cool Mix is the version the brand recommends instead for horses that are nervous or excitable. You feed one or the other.
Who they suit — a balancer earns its place when the diet is mostly pasture, hay and home-mixed feed. A horse already on a full ration of a fortified hard feed at the label rate is likely getting its minerals there, and doubling up is not useful. Neither product contains fillers or bulking ingredients, which is why the daily dose is a scoop rather than a scoop of chaff.
Sizes — 5kg tub, 12kg and 22kg bags. The 22kg is roughly a year for an average horse and the best value per kilogram, but it is a heavy item, so factor shipping into the comparison.
