Generation is Liphatech's rodent bait range, built around the anticoagulant difethialone. It is sold here in two formats — wax-bound blocks and soft bait sachets — across pack sizes from 480g up to 7.5kg.
Choosing a format — blocks have a hole through the centre so they can be threaded onto the rod inside a bait station and cannot be carried off. That is the safer option outdoors, in damp sheds, and anywhere a dog might find a bait a rat has moved. Soft bait sachets are gnawed into rather than secured; rodents generally take them faster, which makes them the choice for a fast knock-down indoors where the station can be locked and checked.
This is not a household product. Anticoagulant baits are dangerous to dogs, cats, poultry, livestock and native wildlife, both directly and through eating a poisoned rodent. Use lockable tamper-resistant stations, collect and dispose of carcasses daily, and read the label in full before you start. Vitamin K1 is the antidote — if a pet may have eaten bait or a poisoned rodent, ring a vet immediately and take the label with you.
