Ivory Coat dog and cat food
Ivory Coat is an Australian natural pet food brand covering both dogs and cats. There are 44 recipes stocked here, across dry kibble, wet stews, loaves, pouches and trays. The brand names its lines in two different ways, and working out which is which is the quickest route to the right bag.
Named by protein. The Grain Free range covers 26 of those 44 recipes, and each one is titled by its meat: chicken, lamb and kangaroo, lamb and sardine, salmon and ocean fish. This is the range to shop if you are working around a protein your pet does or does not tolerate.
Named by benefit. Raw Health (dry) and Inspired By Raw (wet) are the newer lines, and their recipes are titled by what they target instead: Gut Health, Oral Care, Indoor & Hairball, Immunity, Sensitive Care, Health & Vitality. Shop these if you are buying around a specific issue rather than an ingredient.
Two things worth knowing before you order
Not every Ivory Coat recipe is grain free. The Holistic Nutrition wet loaves are built on brown rice. If grain free is the reason you are here, stay inside the Grain Free range rather than assuming it applies across the brand.
Pack sizes are not consistent between lines. Grain Free dry dog food comes in 2kg and 13kg; Raw Health dry dog food comes in 1.8kg and 10kg. On the wet side, Grain Free dog stews are 400g x 12 cartons while Inspired By Raw dog trays are 100g x 9, which is a much smaller serve. If you are moving between lines, read the feeding guide again rather than carrying your old portion across. Cat dry food is 2kg and 4kg in both the Grain Free and Raw Health lines, and cat wet food is 85g x 12 pouches throughout.
