Percell makes the small, unglamorous bird cage items that get used every day - cuttlebone and perch covers. Nothing here is complicated, but both are easy to get wrong in ways that affect the bird.
Cuttlefish bone
Cuttlebone is a calcium source and a beak conditioner at the same time. Laying hens of any species draw heavily on calcium, and a caged bird with nothing abrasive available can end up with an overgrown beak. Mount it soft side in - that is the side the bird can rasp at. A bone that has sat untouched for months is usually mounted the wrong way round. Available as a 20cm single and a 15cm 3 pack.
Sand perch covers
Slip-on abrasive sleeves that wear nails down between trims. Used sensibly they work; used badly they cause sores. One sand perch per cage, never the highest perch and never the sleeping perch - a bird standing on grit all night will get pressure damage underfoot. Everything else should be plain wood or rope in varying diameters.
