The range at PeekAPaw runs from the compact Lollipop at 25 x 25 x 42cm through the Solace at 48 x 48 x 150cm to the PS474 at 90 x 48 x 175cm, so there is something for a one-cat apartment and something for a household that climbs.
Two things decide which model suits you. The first is height. A cat that scratches vertically needs a post tall enough to stretch out on, so a short unit that gets ignored is a false economy; a cat that is older, heavier or nervous of heights is better served by a low, wide design such as the Sail tree or the Snowmelt bed. The second is footprint and weight. Petsbelle uses solid wood rather than particle board, so the taller towers are stable but heavy and need a clear corner — the Devotion is 7.2kg on a 40 x 40cm base, while the 3kg Lollipop can be moved between rooms. Petsbelle describes the solid-wood models as wear resistant and easy to install.
Features vary by model rather than by size: hammocks, hidey holes, cushioned perches, swinging ropes and multiple scratching surfaces. The Lollipop comes in green, blue or yellow.
