Plush Puppy
Plush Puppy is a grooming range built around show preparation — shampoos, conditioners, whitening and texturising products, styling and finishing products, brushware, combs, bathing alternates and flower essence remedies. Nothing about it is exclusive to the ring, though. The same products that get a coat ready for a judge are the ones that get a matted spaniel comfortable again, and the range is worth knowing even if your dog never leaves the backyard.
Three things to sort out before you order. Concentrate or Ready to Use: several formulas exist as both, and the 1L to 20L sizes are the concentrated versions — cheaper per wash, but you will want the Mixer Bottle or the pump that fits the 5L and 20L containers. Which job: whitening, texturising and volumising are three different problems, and the products are not interchangeable. Fairy Frost and Herbal Whitening lift a dull white coat; Texture+ and the Powder Puff Terrier powder keep a harsh coat harsh; Puffy Dog and the volumising products build body in a soft coat. Using a conditioning shampoo on a terrier undoes the texture you want. Which brush line: Pro-Grooming is the everyday range, Ultimate is the heavier-built one with longer pins for full coats.
