Pure Life is a joint venture between two Australian family-owned businesses, Hypro Pet Foods and Central Pets, and the range is Australian made and owned. PeekAPaw stocks the Natural Boost dry food for dogs and cats, wet pate multipacks for adult dogs, puppies, cats and kittens, and 100g grain free dog treats.
Natural Boost is the range's signature: high-protein kibble mixed through freeze-dried pieces of real meat, with no fillers or artificial preservatives, and 96 to 97% local ingredients depending on the recipe. Proteins run to Australian chicken, Tasmanian salmon, Australian lamb and outback kangaroo. Because the freeze-dried pieces are the part pets eat first, measured meals work better here than a bowl left down all day.
Grain free is a Natural Boost dry claim rather than a whole-brand one. On the wet side only the dog variety pack and the two puppy pates state it, and the treats are sold on their functional ingredients instead. It is also worth reading the meat order rather than the recipe name: both Beef and Kangaroo pates list chicken among the meats, and the Hypoallergenic Crocodile treat contains kangaroo as well as crocodile.
