SalPet makes pet supplements from Tasmanian Atlantic salmon, using parts of the fish that would otherwise go to waste. The range is one oil and four salmon powders, each added to your dog's or cat's normal food once a day and dosed by body weight.
SalPet Tasmanian Salmon Oil comes in 200ml and 500ml pump bottles and supplies the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA; one press of the pump dispenses 2ml. The 250g powders pair salmon with one functional ingredient each: Joint Ease adds New Zealand green-lipped mussel powder, Digestion adds psyllium husk and probiotics, and Dental Care adds the seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum. SalPet Protein is ground, dried Tasmanian salmon on its own.
Pick the powder by the job you want it to do rather than stacking several at once, and introduce any new supplement gradually. These are additions to a complete diet, not a replacement for one. If your pet has a diagnosed joint, gut or dental problem, check with your vet which option suits before you start.
