SuperVite is an Australian-made and Australian-owned dry dog food brand from the Hypro Group, sold through more than 2,500 stores nationally. The range splits into three lines: Gold Label, the higher-protein recipes built around real Australian chicken, beef or kangaroo; Everyday, the value line covering Happy Dog and Working Dog; and Tasty Bites, soft 150g treats in four flavours.
Choosing between the lines. The gap between them is energy density, and it matters more than the price difference. Happy Dog runs at 16% protein and 8% fat — fine for a low-activity adult, not enough to hold condition on a dog that works. Working Dog steps up to 23% and 11%. Gold Label Adult sits at 24% and 10%, with Active Kangaroo at 26% and 12% for genuinely hard-working dogs and Puppy Chicken at 27% and 12% for growth. Feeding a suburban pet dog on the Active or Puppy recipes is the usual way owners end up with a heavy dog.
Every recipe comes in more than one bag size, so trial a 3kg before committing to a 20kg. Twenty kilos of kibble stored in a hot shed goes rancid faster than most people expect — buy the size you will actually get through.
