Talentail builds its Ultimate range around Oceania-sourced meat: 75% chicken or fish and oils in the dry recipes, and 92-93% meat, organs and bone in the wet cat cans. Alongside it sits a plainer Adult dry dog line built on chicken or lamb with brown rice.
The wet cat cans do not all feed the same way, which is the easiest thing to get wrong here. The beef, lamb, chicken and venison recipes are 1300-1400 kcal/kg and the feeding guide asks for one 180g can per 4kg of cat; the Chicken Mousse is lighter at 975 kcal/kg and asks for one can per 3kg. Swapping between them without changing the number of cans will quietly underfeed or overfeed. All five come as 180g cans in trays of 12.
On the dry side the two dog lines answer different questions. Ultimate is a 1.8kg bag at 75% chicken or fish with green lipped mussel and fish oil; the Adult recipes are grain-inclusive, using oats and brown rice, and come in 3.5kg and 15kg for households feeding a bigger dog. For cats reacting to chicken or fish, the single-protein Venison and Lamb wet recipes are the ones to try. The dry cat formulas run 1.5kg and 5kg in New Zealand Chicken or Pacific Ocean Fish.
