Trouble and Trix Cat Litter
Trouble and Trix is an Australian cat litter brand, and the range here splits cleanly in two: clumping litters that you scoop daily, and crystal litters that absorb and get stirred through until the whole tray is changed. Which one suits you comes down to how you would rather do the daily job.
Clumping
The Plant Extract Natural Clumping litters come in 10L bags, scent free or Cherry Blossom, and are the lighter-weight option in the range. The Odour Neutralising Clumping litters come in 15L and add either lavender or baking soda, and there is a Lightweight Fresh Floral clumping litter with baking soda in 15L as well. Clumping litter is only as good as the tray depth - keep it deep enough that urine never reaches the base, or the clumps stick.
Crystal
The crystal litters are 15L and come in a lavender-scented version and an antibacterial version. Crystals absorb rather than bind, so instead of lifting clumps you remove solids daily and stir the bed through, then change the tray as a whole on the schedule the pack sets out.
Scent, and the practical notes
Scent-free is the safer default if you want to notice a change in your cat's toileting early, since fragrance masks the thing you are watching for. If odour between scoops is the problem, the baking soda and lavender formulas are aimed at that. Cats judge litter by texture underfoot, so change type gradually - mix a small share of the new litter through the old and increase it over a week or two.
