Vetnex is an Australian-owned range of dental, joint, bone and immunity supplements for dogs and cats. The range on PeekAPaw covers four groups: Plaque Control dental care, Hyaflex Mobility joint care, Seaweed Calcium, and the goat milk and immunity powders.
Plaque Control is the largest of the four, and the decision there is format rather than strength. The powders and the chews work from the same ingredient, organic seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum). The powder is sprinkled on or mixed into food, which suits a pet that will not tolerate anything being put in its mouth; the chews are an oats-based soft chew given as a daily treat. Powder comes as Original (pure seaweed, nothing added), Kangaroo and Salmon; chews come as Beef Liver, Salmon and Vegetarian, and the Vegetarian chew contains no animal materials, which matters for a pet on a low-protein diet.
Two things are worth knowing before you choose. The Hyaflex Mobility Chews are formulated for dogs only; for a cat needing joint support, the Hyaflex Mobility Powder is the dual-species option. And Seaweed Calcium is aimed at pets fed home-made or raw diets, where it corrects the calcium-to-phosphorus ratio that meat-heavy meals get wrong — a pet already eating a complete commercial food does not usually need it.
