WAG is an Australian range of single-ingredient dog treats and chews built on air-dried meat rather than baked biscuits. PeekAPaw stocks more than 30 WAG lines across six groups: air-dried treats sold by weight, natural chews, kangaroo bones and ribs, functional kangaroo jerky, antlers and horns, and yoghurt drops.
Choosing between them
The air-dried treats — beef jerky, chicken breast, kangaroo jerky and liver, forage fish, kangaroo cubes, bully bites and trail mix — come in 50g, 200g and 750g bags. Start at 50g when you are testing a new protein and move to 750g once it is a regular training reward. Kangaroo is the single protein to reach for with dogs that react to chicken or beef.
Chews vary a lot in hardness, and that is the decision most people get wrong. Deer antler and goat horn are the hardest here and last longest; kangaroo tail, arm and rib bones sit below them; collagen sticks, cheek sticks, moo tubes, pig ears and veal tendons are softer and go faster. Supervise any chew, pick a softer one for a dog that cracks down hard, and count chews into the daily ration rather than adding them on top.
Functional kangaroo jerky comes in 10-packs with an added ingredient for a purpose: ginger and pumpkin in Digestion, linseed and prebiotics in Immunity, antioxidants in Skin & Coat, plus a Hip & Joint version. Yoghurt drops come in 250g bags of carob, strawberry and vanilla — carob because dogs cannot have chocolate.
