XP3020 is an Australian high-protein dry dog food built on chicken meal and brown rice, with chicken fat, poultry digest, potato starch and dried egg, plus beet pulp, flaxseed oil, dried fruit and vegetables, glucosamine sulphate and L-carnitine. The brand publishes a calcium to phosphorus ratio of 1.25:1 (1.5% calcium, 1.2% phosphorus), which is the figure that matters most in a growth food.

The dry food is sold from 2.5kg through to 20kg, with charcoal-infused dog treats alongside it in chicken and fish. There is also a 2.5kg Premium Ferret Diet listed under this brand.
A note on the ferret diet
We would rather be straight about this than pad it out. The ferret diet reaches us through the same distributor listing as the XP3020 dog products, but XP3020's own website covers only its dog food and does not mention ferrets, and no guaranteed analysis or ingredient list is published for the ferret bag.
Ferrets are obligate carnivores with a very short gut. They need roughly 32 to 40 per cent crude protein, mostly from animal sources, around 18 to 20 per cent fat, almost no fibre, and little or no added sugar. That is a different specification from any dog food, so it is worth checking the bag rather than assuming. Ask us before ordering and we will photograph the panel for you.
Feeding notes
Change any dry food gradually over about a week. High-protein foods are energy-dense, so the correct portion is smaller than an owner moving from a cheaper food expects — weigh the first few meals rather than carrying an old scoop across.
